NIALL SHARP

Niall Sharp played for Uttoxeter Juniors U7’s during the 2023/24 season. 

Even before his first game he made a huge impact with the team with his infectious enthusiasm, energy and bubbly character. On the pitch the league were treated to seeing an amazing talent in action, extremely determined and committed (never losing a 50-50 ball) his amazing energy and drive was equally matched with his outstanding technical ability. Throw in a rocket of a left foot and insatiable hunger to keep on scoring, Niall was the full package and playing him in games was almost like using a cheat code….!

Being extremely competitive and as hardworking as anyone, Derby County were in the front of the queue to give him an Academy experience and it’s credit to Niall that he excelled with them on Saturday afternoons after playing for Juniors in the morning! Not many kids are offered pre agreements for U9 Academy football as an U7 player, but that is what happened when Derby moved quickly to make a commitment to Niall. 

Fittingly, his last touch for Juniors was decisively scoring a penalty in a cup final to help win the trophy. 

Uttoxeter Juniors are immensely proud of Niall, thrilled for his family, and sincerely wish him every success with his career.
