JOSEPH SUTTON
Joseph Sutton played for Uttoxeter Juniors U7’s and U8’s during the 2024/25 season.
From day 1 it was clear to see that Joe had something very special to offer. He was (is) technically off the charts, amazingly comfortable on the ball and capable of beating any opponent with his fast feet and ball ‘wizardry’. He has every technical ability in his locker - not many kids at that age are capable of more than 200 ‘kick ups’ !
His natural talent is undeniable but the best attribute about Joe is his work ethic and the hours he puts into training and conditioning.
On the pitch, he made an immediate impact for Juniors helping win a couple of tournaments before scoring a hat trick on his league debut. With all types of goals from walking the ball in to long range efforts, it wasn’t long before Academies became interested which unfortunately meant that Joe ended up playing for Notts County on some Saturdays during the U8 season.
During the turn of the year it was the turn of Burton Albion to come calling and they soon saw enough ability and positive attitude to offer him a pre contract for the U9 season.
Uttoxeter Juniors are immensely proud of Joe and are
thrilled for him and his amazing family on the journey he is about to embark on.
We sincerely wish him every success and are looking forward to closely following what will undoubtedly be a sensational career. Go and smash it Joe !!!
